Nesika Wilamut is a network that unites people and communities dedicated to the well-being of humans and the environment in the Willamette River Basin. Our primary objective is to promote and support the conservation and protection of the Willamette River and its surrounding ecosystems.
As an indigenous-led organization, Nesika Wilamut is devoted to the principles of environmental justice and social equity. We collaborate with tribal communities, BIPOC-led organizations, river stewards, and other stakeholders to ensure that the voices of historically marginalized groups are heard and respected.
We focus on establishing relationships and partnerships that promote a sustainable and equitable future for everyone. We strive to achieve this through community involvement, education, and advocacy to enhance the health and well-being of the people and ecosystems relying on the Willamette River.
